Cuyamaca Rancho State Park is the Jewel of San Diego County's mountains. It is a haven for hikers, equestrians, mountain bikers, campers and wildlife watchers.

Established in 1933, the park encompasses over 25,000 acres of protected wildlife habitat, watershed, archaeological sites, botanical reserve, and recreational land.  Roughly half of the park is classified as a wilderness area.

Each year thousands of people visit Green Valley and Paso Picacho campgrounds, Stonewall Mine, and Los Vaqueros horse camp.  Cuyamaca Rancho State Park borders Cuyamaca lake, Anza Borrego Desert State Park, Cleveland National Forest and private land.

Cuyamaca Ranch Foundation pursues public funding, private grants and donations to raise funds for purchase of desirable properties from willing sellers. The foundation is a nonprofit organization which serves as a trustee in acquiring land for addition to Cuyamaca Rancho State Park.

The foundation's goal is to preserve land for your pleasure and enjoyment.

The Foundation works with State Park personnel and with other volunteer organizations such as the Cuyamaca Rancho State Park Interpretive Association (CRSPIA) to identify suitable properties.  The long term General Plan for the park proposes additional horse camps and multiple use facilities.  Greater access to the southern end of the park and development of more visitor facilities would further serve the publics needs.

The foundation also looks for "inholdings," which are private properties within the park or near the park boundaries.  Such properties may be of little use to current owners but will, if acquired, add to the integrity of the park.

The foundation accepts any donation of real property.  Owners may realize tax advantages by donating or selling property to the foundation or including the foundation in estate planning.
